Each Easter weekend, Grace Community hosts an Egg Hunt open to the entire Cedar Valley. This year, the Egg Hunt at Grace will be Saturday, April 20, at 9:30 AM. We'll have trunk or treating, inflatables, games, face painting, free photos with the Easter Bunny, coffee for parents, and much more!
This event is allergy-friendly. We offer prize options that are peanut-free, dye-free, gluten-free, and plenty of non-food options. For specific information about allergy considerations, contact Ashley@cfgrace.community or call (319)266.8982.
The Egg Hunt at Grace is completely free and open to all families in the Cedar Valley! (You don't need to attend Grace Community - or any other church - to come.) For more information, contact Ashley@cfgrace.community.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What's up with the empty eggs?
Don’t worry. We planned it this way. You can redeem your eggs after the egg hunt right back where you checked in. This way, if you have a child with allergies, you’ll be able to redeem the eggs for something he or she can actually enjoy. Also, if you’re not so keen on going home with a bunch of candy, you can choose other prizes, and vice versa.
What exactly does Allergy-Friendly mean?
We understand the plight of kiddos with food allergies around events where candy is plentiful. For the Egg Hunt at Grace, we leave the eggs empty so that you can redeem eggs for prizes kids will enjoy. Egg redemption stations are available for peanut-free, gluten-free, dye-free, and non-food prizes.
What if the weather stinks on April 20?
That's a bummer. 2019 has not been our weather year in the Cedar Valley. If the weather is too chilly or rainy to hunt for eggs outside on April 20, we'll move the event indoors. It might affect our ability to have inflatables available, but everything else will continue as planned.
How much does the Egg Hunt at Grace cost?
Even the photos with the Easter Bunny.
We just love the Cedar Valley and want to host an event for our community to enjoy.
Do I need to attend Grace Community to come to your event?
Nope. This event is open to all families in the Cedar Valley. Again, we really like the Cedar Valley, and want to make sure everyone feels welcome at the Egg Hunt at Grace.
What if I want to come to church at Grace Community?
Awesome! Grace Community meets Sundays at 10 AM. We have a full slate of activities for kids ages 6 weeks through 6th grade. And for grown ups, we have contemporary worship, an encouraging message, and free Sidecar coffee. Services are usually about an hour and fifteen minutes.
Who should I contact if I have questions?
Ashley Knepper at Ashley@cfgrace.community or (319)266.8982.
